Glass CLASSES
We want you to know that all demonstrations and classes are hosted by artist Peter Patterson. We do not have ‘students’ or other artists hosting our classes. We want to give you the best class possible for your corporation, friends and family. Peter will have assistants onsite to help answer any questions, help creating your art pieces, and keep the event fun.
All classes and events have a 48 hour cancellation policy.
All Participants need a waiver signed (signed by the parent/guardian if under 18 years old and follow the studio dress code.

There are 6 types of events we offer (Age 12 and up). Below is a description of all events section:
1. Demo Event …Time Duration 1 – 2 hours
The Demo Event consists of the following items. Each person will get a tour of the Studio, Gallery and Hot Shop, A short explanation of Peter’s background in art and glass processes. The group will also receive a Demonstration of how Art Glass is made.The Minimum number of people for this event is 6. Maximum number of people is 50 per group. The cost for this event is $20.00 per person (based on 10 or more people) If there are less than 10 people the cost will be $25.00 per person. Age limit is 10 +. A table for food and refreshments will be available on request. *** Daytime or Evening Please call the studio to schedule your event.
2. Taste of Glass …Time Duration 2 – 3 hours(minimum)
The Taste of Glass Class consists of the following items. Each person will get a tour of the Studio, Gallery and Hot Shop, A short explanation of Peter’s background in art and glass processes. The group will also receive a Demonstration of a Blown Art Glass Piece at the end of class.
Each person will get to make 4(four) Art Glass pieces. Each piece will be different and feature a different technique. Also each person will be able to pick out their own colors for their art pieces. This class is for younger people( girl / boy scouts) but adults are welcome as well. *** Pieces will NOT be ready to take home on the same day. This is because they have to cool down after being made and cooling times vary from 24 – 48 hours. ****
The Minimum number of people for this event is 2. Maximum number of people is 10 per group. Age limit is 10 +. The cost for this class is $165.00 per person

3. Orb Class …Time Duration 2 – 3 hours(minimum)
The Orb Glass Class consists of the following items. Each person will get a tour of the Studio, Gallery and Hot Shop, A short explanation of Peter’s background in art and glass processes. The group will also receive a Demonstration of a Blown Art Glass Piece at the end of class. Each person will get to make 3(Three) Art Glass pieces. Each piece will be different and feature a different technique. Also each person will be able to pick out their own colors for their art pieces. One piece will Glo-in-the-Dark.
*** Pieces will NOT be ready to take home on the same day. This is because they have to cool down after being made and cooling times vary from 24 – 48 hours. ****
The Minimum number of people for this event is 2. Maximum number of people is 10 per group. Age limit is 12 +. The cost for this class is $175.00 per person

4. Sculpture Class …Time Duration 2 – 3 hours(minimum)
The Sculpture Glass Class consists of the following items. Each person will get a tour of the Studio, Gallery and Hot Shop, A short explanation of Peter’s background in art and glass processes. The group will also receive a Demonstration of a Blown Art Glass Piece at the end of class.
Each person will get to make 3(Three) Sculptural Art Glass pieces. Each piece will be different and feature a different technique. Also each person will be able to pick out their own colors for their art pieces. ( Egg, Pyramid, 3-Sided freeform) *** Pieces will NOT be ready to take home on the same day. This is because they have to cool down after being made and cooling times vary from 24 – 48 hours. ****
The Minimum number of people for this event is 2. Maximum number of people is 10 per group. Age limit is 12 +. The cost for this class is $200.00 per person

5. Beginning Glassblowing
Time Duration 3 – 6 hours(minimum)
The Beginning Glassblowing Class consists of the following items. Each person will get a tour of the Studio, Gallery and Hot Shop, A short explanation of Peter’s background in art and glass processes. You will also receive a Demonstration of a Blown Art Glass piece at the end of class. Each person can expect to make 8 - 12 pieces in this class. Each person will be able to pick out their own colors for their art piece. Each piece will use a different technique, we will also experiment with Specialty glass. We will start out making different paperweights to build your skills to be able to learn how to blow the glass. You will have the opportunity to blow several pieces, learning different shapes/sizes.

The Minimum number of people for this event is 1. Maximum number of people is 2 per group. Age limit is 16 +. The cost for this class is $500.00 per person

6. Art Piece Class
Time Duration 2 – 3 hours(minimum)
Minimum number of people for this event is 6,
Maximum number of people is 20 per group.
Age limit is 10 years old +.
The Art Piece Class consists of the following items. Each person will get a tour of the Studio, Gallery and Hot Shop, A short explanation of Peters background in art and glass processes. The group will also receive a Demonstration of a Blown Art Glass Piece at the end of class. In addition to the above, each person will get to make 1(one) Art Glass piece. Each person will be able to pick out colors for their pieces. *** Pieces will NOT be ready to take home on the same day. This is because they have to cool down after being made and cooling times vary from 24 – 48 hours. ****
The cost for this event starts at $65.00 per person. See below for the Ala-Carte menu to pick out your piece to create.
